Professional Qualifications

Charlie Dixon’s area of expertise is primarily machinery & equipment/personal property. However, he has valued buildings and improvements for various purposes. He has performed and supervised valuations and consulting projects for over 20 years. In addition to his valuation experience, Mr. Dixon has appeared as an expert witness with court testimony in United States Bankruptcy Court, Pennsylvania, New York and Connecticut; Connecticut Superior Court; and various Boards of View.

Though he is based in Pennsylvania, Mr. Dixon has performed and supervised valuations throughout the United States.

Prior to beginning his appraisal career, Mr. Dixon spent 15 years in various mechanical and marine maintenance industries.

Mr. Dixon has broad experience in performing valuations and consulting projects for a variety of purposes including, but not limited to the following:

In addition, Mr. Dixon has provided valuation services for government agencies at all levels, including: the General Services Administration, Small Business Administration, Resolution Trust Corporation, Internal Revenue Service, various Departments of Transportation, Redevelopment Authorities, Office of Thrift Supervision, Regional Airport Authorities, Municipalities, Industrial Development Corps. and others.

Mr. Dixon is a co-author of the Pennsylvania DOT Right-of-Way manual, 2002 Edition. His contribution included writing the Machinery and Equipment chapter.

Mr. Dixon is a Senior Member of the American Society of Appraisers (“ASA”) and is a member of the Machinery and Technical Specialties committee. He is past president of the Philadelphia chapter of the ASA. Other memberships include: Tri-State Realtors Commercial Alliance, International Right of Way Association, Risk Management Association, Association for Corporate Growth, the Turnaround Management Association, and The Entrepreneurship Institute.
